The room was beautiful, with the same next-level interior design as the rest of the hotel, though there was no air con. We liked the location and the brilliant rooftop views, but the service really stood out. Steffi, Sarah and Jaimie went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thank you.

William at the front desk was a gem, so kind and accommodating, and always asking what else he could do to improve our stay. Andres handled dinner service with a lovely attitude, and Michael was excellent at breakfast. The team even offered to find us something to eat when we arrived after restaurant hours, so we could tide ourselves over until breakfast. Just keep in mind this boutique hotel has set restaurant hours. Our room faced the courtyard, which was under construction. There's no air conditioning, and even with the window open the air didn't move, so the open-concept room and shower got very warm. Quito may not need air conditioning in general, but this room did feel stuffy. Still, we're giving the stay five stars. The location was good, within walking distance of the square and several attractions.

The street itself has lovely coffee shops and restaurants, and the hotel's own restaurants were charming, with inventive, delicious food. We had a very large suite that was well designed and nicely furnished. Illa Experience Hotel came recommended, and it lived up to that. The building feels like an architect's dream, with interesting details throughout. What a delightful place!

We booked just one night, but ended up staying three because we fell in love with the place. We happened to arrive during its first week open. The food was unbelievable, the service wonderful, and the converted mansion was stunning. Can't wait to return someday. Highly recommend!
