Hostal Oasis Quito

The bathroom is awful because the hot water doesn’t work. Still, the place is clean and decent, the service is good, and it’s well placed in Quito’s historic center. From public transport, get off at the Hermano Miguel del Trole stop, just a block away. There are also nearby pizzerias about 100 meters away, and a restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea for an excellent price, $2 for any meal.

Oasis Hostel is a decent fit for its price, though places in this category usually have details that could be improved. If you’ve stayed here, leave a comment so everyone can get a more accurate sense of it. Keep working to improve.

The location is the one good thing. There was no parking, despite the listing saying there was, and they changed the price I’d paid in the Booking app, saying my reserved room had a different price because they’d listed it by mistake. Breakfast was very basic. I wouldn’t go back.

The staff were welcoming, and the small hotel was nice and very clean. It’s 400 meters from the historic center. A double room with a window and private bathroom costs $18 USD.
