Parque La Carolina is right nearby, so getting around Quito was easy. The hotel itself feels functional and executive in style rather than luxurious, and it worked well for our one-night stay for a city appointment. Online pre-check-in made arrival smooth after a long drive. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough for good sleep, with a very comfortable bed. Reception were polite, efficient, and helpful at both ends of the stay. The ironing service was quick and punctual. Breakfast costs extra and comes as a buffet. There was a good range and most of the food was fine, though the coffee disappointed us and the waffle batter was dry. A couple of small drawbacks: the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, which was a little inconvenient, and breakfast had those two letdowns. Still, it’s a solid, convenient choice for business or appointments, with a comfortable room and efficient service.

Security was good and breakfast was good too. The problem was the smell: the lobby always smelled like sewage, and our room had an odd odor for one night. Thankfully, the hotel let us change rooms that night. For a hotel that’s relatively expensive for the area, the prices for water, laundry, and dinner were also ridiculous.

I love this place. Their restaurant serves a really good buffet lunch from Monday to Friday, cooked by a chef. It’s clean, and the service is good.

The staff were so friendly and attentive, and communication was easy. Our family of four had lots of room in the spacious suite, and we enjoyed the daily breakfast, which featured plenty of Ecuadorian food. Parque Caroline is nearby, with the Vivarium and Botanical Garden just minutes away. There are also several places to eat within a short walk. A great hotel for our Quito family trip.

The manager apologized and went out of her way to make it right, and I appreciate that. After I filed a formal complaint, they quickly and efficiently offered compensation. That helped after a nightmarish check-in when we didn’t get the rooms we had booked. I’d first rated the place one star.
