Hacienda La Danesa

We had a great time riding around the farm and saw so much, including a sloth. The lazy tube was fun too. Saray was so friendly, always there when we needed her, and guided us through the stay really well. The accommodation was outstanding, and both the food and drinks were delicious. Hacienda La Danesa is an amazing place, and we can highly recommend it.

The price is steep for the location. We booked the Garden Cottage with the meal plan and two extra outings, beekeeping, which was incredible, and a hike to a cloud forest waterfall, which was stunning. It came to over $1,000 a day. Still, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding in quality and presentation, even if meal preferences don't always come across well. Try Myra's empanadas, and the hot chocolate was the best I've ever had. The rooms and shared areas are beautifully appointed, and the architecture feels just right. If peaceful luxury is what you're after, it's a lovely place.

We only came for the day, and I wish we'd had time to stay a few nights. The property is beautiful and wonderfully peaceful, a great escape from the city where you can take in the sights and sounds of the plantation. The staff were incredibly helpful, and we loved the activities. Service and food were both excellent.

The rooms are lovely, and from bed you can look out over the plantation. We had amazing food, all freshly cooked, and got to make chocolate from picking the pod right through to the finished result. Down a long drive, the modern ranch-style home feels like a wonderful surprise in the forested lowlands and plantation. Every detail is cared for, and everyone seems focused on making sure you enjoy yourself. Highly recommended. We felt very privileged. Thank you all.
