Cotopaxipungo Finca Hotel

I spent one night here during a trekking trip with Ian Taylor trekking. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, one of the most hospitable people I've met in ages. The room was lovely and the view was amazing. Highly recommend.

Juan Carlos and the whole team made us feel welcome. They made a fire in our room while we were having dinner, and the food was fresh and delicious. The shower had hot water and great pressure too. A wonderful stay in a beautiful setting.

Juan Carlos came out in his truck to help us when we still had a mile to go on our trek and the rain began. That was a welcome surprise. The scenery around the lodge, including the view of Cotopaxi, is amazing. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with a fireplace that they lit after dinner. The menu was extensive, the food delicious, and the service first class.

After a day of hiking on our 10 day hacienda-to-hacienda tour with Andean Face tours, arriving here felt like a treat. The views are beautiful from everywhere, the hotel's decor is interesting, and the rooms are distinctive and comfortable. I especially loved the fireplace. The staff offered to light it during dinner so we'd come back to a warm, cozy room. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. I had the stewed lamb, and the meat was so tender. I slept really well. The staff were kind, helpful, and clearly cared about our stay, which made the experience even better. I'd recommend this place without hesitation.
