For the price, it's fine if you're on a budget, though the place is a bit depressing. It has that ultimate Soviet poverty feel, beside a strip club and a pool club. I didn't go into either, but liked the vibe. A few loud, shouty men made it hard to sleep, along with the usual knocks from the ceiling. The shower had good pressure, but no lock.

The person who checked me in was nice, but the place itself was disgusting and depressing. The bed and floor were filthy, the shower didn't look clean enough to trust, and there were shirts left behind by a previous customer. My towel had red stains too. It's an old building, with cracked ceilings and stained walls. The rooms were humid and too warm, which made sleeping harder, and there was hardly any noise blocking. I could hear a baby crying or screaming, footsteps from people using the toilet, and loud conversations through the door. It felt like being in a drug addict's home. For one night, though, it was okay.

Remember this is a backpackers' hostel, not a hotel, so bring your own shower soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and drinking water. They don't provide bottles or water jugs, but you can fill your own bottle at the kitchen tap. The location is perfect for a budget stay. The room was okay, maybe clean to some extent, and the receptionist gave us washed linens and towels. The corridor was stinky, though, and so were the clean toilets, likely because of ventilation problems. Basic cleanliness, especially in the corridors, could be better, and the service could improve a little.

UPDATE: Your reply is rude and untrue. I have proof that I replied, but you never got back to me. Even Agoda said you didn't respond to them. What a joke, super unprofessional! I never managed to check in because you weren't responsive at all. Wouldn't recommend.
