Parking was promised but never arranged, so I had to pay a 45eu fine. The owner said they'd sort it out and then did nothing. The fine was later transferred to Latvia and went up to 60eu.

Avoid booking if you don't want last-minute stress. The friendly "host" got in touch 1-2 months before arrival, after the booking had been paid, then cancelled by message just 2 days before we were due to arrive and stopped responding. The hotel didn't cancel the Booking.com reservation, even though they should do that when they cancel a booking. That makes the whole thing feel like a nasty scam. Thankfully, Booking.com refunded me quickly after I contacted them, and I managed to book somewhere else.

We booked a room a year ahead of our visit to Tallinn, but they cancelled the reservation the day before check-in, just hours before we arrived in the city, without giving a clear reason. They sent a message through the app we used to reserve, but didn't cancel the reservation themselves. They said it was up to us whether we wanted to cancel and avoid paying, even though they'd told us they couldn't host us. It's a scam, and I could talk about this for hours. Please don't book this hotel.

Getting to the old town was easy, and that was the only thing we liked about our visit. We had booked a Superior apartment but were denied it because of overbooking and were told our Booking.com price was supposedly too low. We travel often and have Genius level 2 for better deals, but that didn't help this time. They put us in a renovated old wooden building, where the soundproofing was awful. Our room faced the street, so traffic noise was another problem. We tried reaching the host through WhatsApp, Booking and phone about the booking issue, but she never replied throughout our stay. There was no one at reception at any point. After searching for someone to let us in, we waited 10 minutes until the cleaning lady opened the door. When we left, there was nobody again, so we had to leave the keys on the reception desk. Many guests had done the same earlier that day, as the pictures show. The wooden building was renovated well, but that needs to go along with good customer service for a place to succeed long term. I can't recommend it, regardless of the location or other amenities.
