We chose to stop in Võru because it broke up our daily drive, and it also gave us a chance to see the nearby Bishop's castle. The hostel's price and parking made it a good fit for travellers. The room was clean and cozy, and the hotelier speaks Russian. There’s a large shared fridge and a shared kitchen, though it could get crowded if several people cook at once. The bathroom is combined, but there's also a shared bathroom in the hallway. The shower has no raised edge, so water can spread across the bathroom. Nearby, there's a shop and a couple of stork nests. For a few days by the beautiful lake, this is less convenient: the beach and entertainment spots are almost two kilometres away on foot. For our plans and length of stay, though, the hostel had no drawbacks.

The low price is a real plus, along with the easy-to-reach location, spacious rooms, and decent service. A good option for a night or a few. Recommended!
