Jamaica Guest House

Elephantine Island was such a peaceful place to wander, especially at sunset. At the guesthouse, Esra gave us a tour and made us a delicious vegetarian Tagine. Breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty, and they packed us a breakfast box for our early Abu Simbel trip. Mohamed and Esra made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Mohamed speaks Dutch and told us a little about Nubian culture. He can sort out transfers and tours too, and arranged rides from Marsa Alam to Aswan and from Aswan to Luxor at a very fair price. We had some lovely conversations with him. Thanks again, we had a great stay!

The terrace view was a real bonus, and getting to and from the island by boat was easy. Our host was especially helpful, arranging whatever we needed, including a boat trip at good prices. Breakfast was good each morning, and they made sure we had some even when we needed to leave early. A great place to stay.

The location made getting around easy, with the city close by and what we needed nearby. Jamaica Guest House has a gorgeous view, and the whole place feels calm, comfortable, and welcoming. Esraa, the owner, was kind and cooperative, always ready to help. She clearly cares about her guests and made us feel at home. A lovely place, and I highly recommend it.

The Nile views were breathtaking, and the place was clean with good facilities. I stayed four nights at Jamica guest house on Elephantine and really enjoyed it. It's near both the ferry port and the main town, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We booked breakfast with the room, which was a great way to start each day.
