Gresham Hotel

The staff are friendly, the location is excellent, and the beds are comfortable. But WiFi was so slow it was basically nonexistent, and there’s no elevator, so getting to the rooms at the top means a lot of stairs. The apartment is really just the bed, with no towels, slippers or fridge. The bidet and shower didn’t work properly either. I used the guest bathroom instead, which was pretty clean but had no lock. The first and second floors looked horrible and run down, while the hotel from the third floor up was clean and beautiful.

Two staff members, Adham and Islem, were great and especially helpful with our luggage, but my experience with the rest of the staff was disappointing. I felt unsafe throughout my stay because one staff member claimed falsely to be a manager and made inappropriate advances, including asking for my friend’s name and room number. The room was okay, but had a strange smell and just one smelly blanket. Not having an elevator was a major hassle, especially with luggage. I wouldn’t recommend Gresham Hotel and won’t return.

Ali was very helpful with recommendations, and the rest of the staff were nice too. They didn’t try to sell us anything, and the rooms were quite nice and clean. The lift wasn’t working, so there were lots of stairs, and the outside of the hotel looked kind of scary. Inside, though, it was great. I enjoyed my stay and would come again 👍

The hotel itself is very good, but getting there is unpleasant. The street leading to it is very dirty, and the building is dirty too. The hotel is on the third floor, while the first two floors are filthy, with clothing factories, more cats and strangers around. There’s no elevator anywhere in the building, so carrying bags up is really hard 👎👎👎
