We spent a week at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff consistently polite and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of traditional and international choices, including an omelet station, fresh fruit, and a coffee machine. It’s near Cairo International Airport, but farther from downtown and Giza. That distance means less of the downtown traffic and bustle. Based on Uber fares in February 2026, staying here still seemed worthwhile, even though a trip downtown could take about 30 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Street noise could be an issue for light sleepers in rooms facing the main road. We were lucky to move to the quieter side of the building on our second day. I hope management considers better soundproofing for the street-facing rooms. We enjoyed the stay and appreciated the service.

Breakfast was another letdown. The food was poor, and the dining area was filthy, with chairs that looked as if they’d never been cleaned. We booked two rooms and arrived a little early, but were told we’d have to wait until 3 PM. When we eventually got rooms on the eighth floor, they were dirty, smelled strongly of mold, and had a washroom in terrible shape. The bath was broken, there was mold everywhere, and the whole room had an unbearable odor. The bed wasn’t clean and looked like it hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. We complained right away. They said there were no other rooms that night, but promised to move us the next day. At 5 PM the following day, we were moved to the fourth floor. Those rooms were a little cleaner, but still smelled strongly of mold whenever the AC was off, so the improvement was marginal and still unacceptable. We also had a privacy problem with room service. A staff member came into the room even though we tried to stop him. I wasn’t wearing my hijab, and it made me extremely uncomfortable. The staff member clearly didn’t understand English or respect our privacy. On the last day, we left early and deliberately didn’t put up the privacy sign because we wanted the room cleaned. When we returned around 5 PM, someone else had put the sign on the door and the room hadn’t been cleaned. It was one more example of poor service and mismanagement. This was one of my worst hotel experiences, and I wouldn’t recommend Radisson Blu Cairo. I hope management takes serious steps to improve things because the conditions were unacceptable.

After a long flight, I was glad to unwind at the rooftop pool and enjoy the city view. I chose Radisson Blu because it’s only about 10-15 minutes from Cairo International Airport, and the location worked well. Check-in was seamless, and the staff were incredibly professional. My room was spacious and quiet, with reliable high-speed Wi-Fi that suited my work. Highly recommended if you want convenience without giving up luxury. !!!!

The dining room food was excellent, and drinks and water were competitively priced. The room was otherwise clean, and the staff were very helpful, though at check-in there were some odd stains on the carpet and what looked like cigarette burns in one drawer. I’d 100 percent stay again.

The room and general cleanliness were below a decent standard for the price. There was also noise from work at the hotel that disturbed us after 9 and 10 pm. The food was good, though, and the staff friendly and supportive. Our accommodation was provided by Paralela 45 travel agency as part of a five-star tour in Egypt, but it didn’t feel like the five-star experience I expected.
