The location near Tahrir Square is very convenient, and I found the interiors clean and good. Still, the beds were uncomfortable and made it hard to get proper rest. I had a bad interaction with Mr. Mohd Ali & Sabri. When I asked for drinking water, he said it wasn't included and didn't offer it for an extra charge. I was also quoted 100 EGP for one black-and-white page, which seemed unreasonable. Mr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Mohammed Yusuf, on the other hand, was helpful, honest, and well behaved. The management should improve the bedding and staff attitude.

Ahmed and the other staff were kind, helpful, and spoke good English, which made communication easy. We had booked a double room, but Ahmed offered us a two-room apartment with a private bathroom at the same rate. It seemed recently renovated, and that was a lovely surprise. Breakfast is served on the spacious rooftop one floor above the hotel, with a beautiful view of Thahrir Square and the surrounding area. You can also order local food and non-alcoholic drinks there in the evening. The hotel is on the fifth floor of a large building with an elevator, almost right on Tahrir Square. For the price and location, I have no complaints.

I landed here after a problem with my original booking elsewhere, and the staff welcomed me, gave me a fair room price, and really tried to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms are basic, but the location is great, and they made sure I was happy while I was in town for a conference. The air conditioner worked really well, too. I don't love staying in Cairo, but I'd come back here if I needed to.

Manara was a big help during my stay at Rotana Palace Suites. The staff and location were great, and I'd definitely return. The breakfast was decent, and the room had good space for a three-star hotel. For a weekend visit, I'd recommend the spot overlooking Tahrir Square.
