Tourist Palace Hotel

After my business trip, I wanted to spend time downtown and see everyday life in Cairo. I felt so comfortable at this hotel that I changed my plans and stayed for a whole week. It’s in a very convenient spot, with a 24-hour mini-market right across from it where you can get what you need at any time. They offer a variety of rooms, and I’d happily recommend the place for group trips or solo travel. The staff are what made the hotel irreplaceable for me. They picked me up from my previous accommodation and looked after me as a solo traveler the way a friend or family member might. Their smiles and friendly chats gave me energy each day. They understood that I wanted to experience local life and shared cafés and restaurants known locally, places I hadn’t found on Google or in guidebooks. They also supported the new things I was trying here. Their simple, heartfelt hospitality really felt like the Egyptian spirit. This is a place that can heal a visitor’s heart and give them the courage to take another step tomorrow. I look forward to meeting kind-hearted Mohammed, Joseph, Yassin, Ahmed, and the ever-so-adorable Mario♡.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, but the place didn’t feel like a proper four-star stay. It shares a building with another property, and the hallways and elevator feel like a rundown residential block. Cleanliness was average, and the bathroom faucet looked poorly maintained. I’d only consider it if I were on a very tight budget.

We travel a lot, and I can say this place is tidy and clean, with friendly people and a really good location. Everything works, the breakfast is nice, and it’s definitely good value for money. I’d stay again.

Muhammad and Josef were great. Golden palace was full, so they put us in the tourist hotel instead. The people were nice and breakfast was good. The shower kept going hot and cold, but otherwise the room was comfortable and nice.
