Victoria Cairo Hotel

Victoria Hotel has a warm, authentic feel, and I’d happily stay there again. The beautifully renovated historic building still keeps its original charm, and the rooms are clean and nicely done. Staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful. Thanks to Chef Hany for doing his best to make me happy at breakfast, Menna and Beshoy at reception, and Ms Mona the owner, who pays attention to the details. Downtown Cairo is a great base, near many attractions and easy to get around by Uber. It’s busy and noisy during the day, but once the shops close, from 8pm until 10am, it’s very quiet. I felt safe staying there solo, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo.

The main drawback is the noisy corner, and the room windows don’t block much sound. Ask for a room at the back if you want something quieter. The rooms have high ceilings and are clean enough. Most of the receptionists and concierges were kind and helpful, especially the young man who often works night shifts at reception. The cleaning lady is a sweetheart.

The reception guy was a real support and extremely helpful in every situation. The rooms were nice, breakfast was good quality, and the hotel is in downtown Cairo. I had a wonderful stay while visiting Cairo.

I had breakfast for two nights, and it was very good. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and I was very happy with them. It’s close to services, shopping, and restaurants, so I highly recommend it. They don’t accommodate residents of Cairo and Giza.
