El Salam Hotel Dahab

We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out, which helped since our departure was in the evening. But asking to keep our towels for a few extra hours didn’t work out: the woman at reception said we could get towels at the beaches, and we couldn’t find any there. It made finding somewhere to spend time much harder. There’s no card payment, so we had to look for an ATM. Two nearby machines weren’t working, and the one at Credit Agricole had poor conditions. We eventually got into the room after paying in advance, with the rest to be paid later. The room itself was quite clean, and breakfast was really tasty. We stayed one night in October. Our street-facing room was noisy, both from traffic and construction at the hotel across the road.

Ms Omuna at reception was really helpful and arranged some great day trips for us. The hotel is right in central Dahab, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We liked it for the price and location, and Ms Omuna made the stay even better. One odd thing: when we asked for soap and toilet paper, we were told there was none left.

The mountain view is lovely, especially in the morning as you wait for sunrise, and the place is right in central Dahab, close to nearly everything. It's clean and the rates are very reasonable, with friendly staff and three adorable dogs. Just remember to ask for fresh sheets and towels.

I stay here often with friends whenever we come to Dahab. It’s clean, close to the center, and I haven’t found a better place for us. The staff are friendly and full of energy, and I always find the area in front of my room clean. I recommend it to everyone.
