We visited the compound while looking for an apartment to rent, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there. It was dirty, littered, and neglected, with dogs roaming and barking in a way that scared the kids. The place looked abandoned, even though there were cars inside and security at the entrance. We left and never returned.
This complex seems to have gone to the dogs, cats, and rats. It feels unsafe, with dirty, smelly landings and stairs in disrepair. If it had been finished, I think it could have been a nice place, but the area feels like a third-world community.
I’ve lived here for six months, and things have gone from bad to worse. We were told the water and electricity would be switched off from 4:30 to 6:30 AM and 2:30 to 4:30 PM, but they were always off longer. Now they’re out for most of the day and night. It’s July, with temperatures at 42°C, and the place runs on generators. The outside is derelict, and the swimming pools have no water and rubbish in them. In my second month, they tried to charge me over 1,000 pounds for water, even though water and maintenance cost around 340 LE. How could the second month’s bill be over 1,000 LE?
When I arrived, nobody was at the property. Eventually the manager showed up and took me to a room with cockroaches all over the floor and no electricity or water. While showing it to me, he touched me inappropriately and kept pressuring me to kiss him, refusing to leave the room. The low price is not worth risking your health and safety. Do not stay here.
The place was never completed. The pools are empty, and the one with water has turned green. Water and electricity go off every day. If you’re coming on vacation, stay away. It seems okay if you have an Egyptian lover, though, as that appears to be popular there.
