Breakfast and dinner are served at the rooftop bar, so you can eat with the Great Pyramid in view. The included breakfast was good, and dinner choices like pizza, meat dishes, pasta, salad, and sweets were fairly priced. We traveled with two kids and had a clean, pleasant large room with four comfortable single beds. It had its own bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, plus a kettle, tea, fridge, and hair dryer. The host family was welcoming and helped with whatever we asked. The hotel is as close as you can get to the Cheops pyramid, and the rooftop terrace has a marvelous view.

The rooftop view is the one good thing here. The beds are very hard, the room is noisy, and breakfast is minimal. I felt they were just trying to get as much money from you as possible, and weren't honest. As someone new to Cairo, I booked the hotel's taxi to Tunis for 100 euros, then found Uber would have cost only 25 euros. Don't book a driver or a pyramids tour through them. An Uber taxi is much cheaper and does the same job.

That rooftop bar with the Great Pyramid only 200m away was the highlight. Our room was large, nice, and clean, and breakfast was very good. The staff were respectful and humble, especially with the children and women. We spent two nights here with our kids while visiting Cairo and the pyramids. The owner was kind and arranged everything, including a driver and guide. Ask for Ahmed! We felt safe the whole time and highly recommend the place.

I've stayed here several times, both on my own and with groups for yoga, meditation, and boxing retreats. Practicing what you love right in front of the Great Pyramid is unforgettable, and the rooftop works well for all kinds of activities. The rooms are simple, clean, equipped with what you need, and decorated in a traditional Egyptian style. The neighborhood is lively and local, good for getting a feel for everyday Cairo. The rooftop might be the loveliest in the neighborhood, maybe even all of Cairo, with a breathtaking view at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. But it's the brothers who run this guesthouse who make it special. They're so warm and welcoming, and really make you feel at home. Solo, as a couple, with friends, or in a group, this place is a gem.
