Mamluk Pyramids Hotel

The rooms are simple but clean, and the hotel is decent value for money. Service was good, and the restaurant was decent, with excellent views of the pyramids. The Sphinx entrance to the Pyramids is within walking distance. It costs more than other hotels nearby, but I thought it was worth it. I'd consider staying again if being near the location were my main priority.

The room cost just 50 GBP per night, and the staff were reasonably friendly. The hotel is incredibly close to the pyramids, with an amazing view of Gizeh. Still, after one night we had to move elsewhere: it was very noisy, the pillows were terribly hard, and the light came on at 3 am and wouldn't turn off.

The front desk, housekeeping team and restaurant staff were all warm and polite. The hotel is clean and well placed for visiting the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. At the rooftop restaurant, lunch and dinner were good, but breakfast was mediocre. Meals can also depend on how many tour groups are there. As a hotel guest, it's not ideal to have to wait until a group finishes before you can go in.

The staff were so kind and hospitable, and waking up to the pyramids right outside our balcony was wonderful. If you're traveling on a budget and want warm hospitality, this place is totally worth a stay.
