I paid about $140 for two nights, and honestly don’t think this place is worth even $40. I’d advise people reading this to stay away. The owner is a nice guy, but the place itself was not good. When I arrived at Queen Pyramids View Inn with my booking.com reservation, the owner asked me to cancel it online and pay cash instead. That seemed a bit suspicious to me. I also only then found out I’d be on the fourth floor of a building with no lift. Walking up four floors with my four-year-old was a really bad experience. Breakfast was poor, just some boiled eggs and bread with cheese on the side. The breakfast seating was an old, scrappy plastic chair.

I ended up liking the place, even though the arrival was a letdown. The front looked like a small, dirty parking lot and alley, and as a visibly foreign visitor I was immediately hassled by people trying to get money from me. I’d booked a pricier hotel hoping for a better experience, so it was disappointing. Inside, there’s a cozy feel and a nice entrance, with just four rooms, so it’s easy to have personal interactions with the staff. They were very attentive and helpful. Manager Farouk was especially good and could be reached on WhatsApp anytime. I was able to change rooms when one opened up, and most staff didn’t ask for tips, which was refreshing. The rooftop restaurant had nice food and an amazing view of the pyramids and the sphinx, especially at dawn and sunset. My room had some problems: the AC didn’t work in the Egyptian summer heat, there were small blood stains and cigarette burns on the bed, and the WiFi sometimes disappeared, though it was fast when it worked. I do recommend the hotel, but be ready for that first impression.

The pyramids are breathtaking from here, huge and majestic. We spent ages looking at them from our balcony and the rooftop, and you’d have to be right beside the pyramids to get closer. Queen Pyramids View Inn gave my niece and me both the view I wanted and a place to relax during my visit to Egypt. She lives there. We were on the top floor, the fifth, and there’s no elevator, only stairs. That may be a drawback for some, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The room and rooftop matched the pictures, and our balcony was actually bigger than it looked in them. The hotel is well located, about a five-minute walk from the pyramids, with tourist shops and restaurants nearby. Google's address found the hotel; we just needed the building number, 15/16. Khaled, the owner, contacted me before we arrived to make check-in easy, and it went smoothly. He was always available to answer questions and offer suggestions, and even helped us order dinner to the hotel. Khaled and Osama were so friendly and made us feel at home. Truly a perfect Giza stay. Thank you very much Khaled and Osama.

Every time I woke during the night, the pyramids were right outside our balcony. The view from the room is like a front row seat, and the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was included and had all we needed. You can literally cross the road and enter the pyramids. We’d highly recommend this hotel.

The host was so welcoming and helpful. Our flight landed at 10.30pm, and he stayed up late to get us into our room. The hotel is beautiful inside, and it’s a great spot for seeing the pyramids. I recommend it 100%.
