Everything else was good, but getting in took a while. We got there around 9:30 at night, not especially late, and the owner didn’t open the door until we’d knocked for more than ten minutes. The hostel’s name wasn’t posted on the door, so we even wondered if we had the wrong house.

The terrace has a great view of the Pyramids, and our room was clean and had air-conditioning. Omar was an amazing host, always around to answer questions and help whenever we needed him. We had a great time here!

Omar is really kind, and my room was comfortable and very nice. You can fall asleep and wake up with a view of the pyramids. A good choice.

Really good place for the price, with lovely people. The family was kind, spoke English, Spanish, Arabic, and more, and helped me with everything, including transportation and avoiding scammers. They guided me through it all. The woman spoke Spanish, which was amazing for me.

The local area is pretty run down, but the people we met were friendly, and the pyramids are about a 10-minute walk away. We got great value here, with a lovely host and a really good breakfast overlooking an amazing view. The host also came through for us at the last minute after Uber drivers had scammed us several times at the airport. He sent a friend to pick us up, and the driver was excellent, so we used him again around Giza and Cairo. We were surprised by how inexpensive the stay was. We would happily have paid at least twice as much.
