We checked in on 27/12/2025, and I was disappointed from the start by the unprofessional reception. The receptionist stood in the middle of the lobby calling guests’ names and handing out room cards instead of helping people at the desk in an orderly way. Both rooms were dirty. The linen had not been changed for new guests, the bath and shower curtain had stains, and there was only one hand towel for two people. I asked reception for another towel and a bath mat and was told they’d arrive in five minutes. After half an hour, I went down again and said I would wait. Housekeeping brought extra towels, but a man from the hotel told them not to give them to me. I was fed up, so I took the receptionist upstairs to see the state of both rooms. She said she’d make it up to us with a kettle, coffee, and more towels. Fifteen minutes later, housekeeping brought only a kettle, with no tea, coffee, sugar, or cups, and then had the nerve to ask for a tip. We spent two nights like this. On checkout morning, 29/12/2025, I tripped on a worn rug in the room that kept curling up. I broke my shoulder badly and needed surgery. When my husband asked reception for help, she said, “pharmacy, pharmacy.” I told him to get a taxi and take me to hospital as soon as possible. This hotel is rated 4 stars, but my rating is 1. I will never recommend it. We are very disappointed guests.

The location is the bright spot: it’s near the pyramid, and you can see it from the gallery. Mohammed at reception was really helpful. The rooms were average in this 3-star property. We had only two 500 ml bottles of water, no tea or coffee, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. There was no hot water, towels, or proper toiletries. Even the lift felt like something from a haunted movie.

The rooms weren’t clean, and ours had no air conditioner. Breakfast was poor too.

Thanks to all the staff, they were very helpful. The room was clean, and I’m sure I’ll be back soon.

Those were the worst three days of my life. Calling the room dirty barely covers it: old dust everywhere, hair in the bed and on the floor, black mold on the bathroom ceiling, and dried stains from previous guests all over the toilet. The list just kept going. Even though breakfast was included, at the restaurant a smiling young woman would ask you to pay another 220 pounds for the food, stressing that she was the one who had to pay. When I went to reception to clear it up, they acted as if it was a misunderstanding and said they’d call the restaurant to explain. It felt like an old trick aimed at fools. Music blared every night in the first-floor hall, with vibrations coming through the walls, so sleeping wasn’t possible. The reception area was unbelievably stuffy because the air conditioners barely worked. I was also bitten by something in bed, most likely bed bugs. Avoid this hotel if you want to protect your health and nerves. It’s a shame the administration seems not to care about the hotel’s reputation.
