Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino

I booked nine nights expecting the clean, comfortable, professional setting of a five-star hotel, but the cleanliness and pest issues were far below that standard. From the first night, itching and discomfort kept me from sleeping more than about two hours. I found an insect on the bed that looked like it might be a bed bug, which was disturbing and concerning. I told reception right away. They moved me to another room and offered an upgrade, but the problem wasn’t properly resolved. The replacement room also seemed below average in cleanliness and left me feeling neither comfortable nor reassured. It affected my sleep, comfort, and the quality of my stay. I hope management takes room inspections, maintenance, pest control, and cleanliness much more seriously to protect guests and the hotel’s reputation. I’d also invite them to visit Dubai and see the hospitality, cleanliness, and quality at Al Habtoor hotels, where guests get the comfort and service expected from a luxury hotel. Sadly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

The rooms were plush and roomy, and we really enjoyed our stay. From our balcony, we could see the Nile. There are plenty of restaurants on site, and the huge breakfast buffet had great food. There’s also a balcony at the back of the buffet area where you can watch the sunrise. It took us a little while to get used to the two ground-floor lobbies, which are a bit confusing at first.

I felt really looked after during an amazing stay. Ibrahim hsny &Mr Omar were so welcoming and kind at breakfast each morning, and served me wonderful Egyptian meals. I’d definitely come back.

The lounge stood out for its quality and service. Breakfast there was excellent, and the staff across the hotel were friendly, attentive, and professional. The whole place felt calm and welcoming, and the gym was well equipped and kept in good condition. I was upgraded to a very comfortable, well maintained suite with two balconies and amazing views of the city and Nile. The hotel felt extremely safe, and I felt secure walking around the surrounding area too, which made staying in Cairo more comfortable. The Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino turned out to be a very, very nice hotel, beyond what I expected. It was a comforting and thoroughly enjoyable stay, with great service and views and nothing to complain about. I’d happily return.
