Sphinx Golden Gate Inn

We had a couple of problems during our three days: there was no WiFi, the TVs didn’t work, and the toilet sometimes needed the flush button pressed ten times before it would flush. If those things were fixed, I’d give it five stars. The hotel itself has new, nicely decorated rooms that are clean and beautiful, and the staff were caring and quick to respond. It’s in a great spot, one block from an entrance to the pyramid complex. The rooftop is clean and beautiful, though other nearby restaurants have better views, more people, and good food.

The Egyptian-style breakfast was really good, so give it a try. We enjoyed three nights here, especially the amazing rooftop, and the location was handy with lots to do nearby. The staff welcomed us warmly and were incredibly helpful, even arranging to pick us up from the airport when we arrived at 9 pm. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Thanks, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The rooftop was a great place to relax after sightseeing, with views of all three pyramids and the Sphinx in the evening. Food was available day and night, and it was delicious. They also arrange tours and airport transfers at a good price. Jimmy was a brilliant host, and the rest of the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was very welcoming and excellent value. I’ll definitely come back.

The rooftop restaurant served amazing food, especially breakfast, and the five-night stay was very affordable. The hotel and bedroom were beautiful, exceptionally clean, and in good condition. Staff gave us excellent tour suggestions and advice for getting around Giza and Cairo. I highly recommend it.
