Sea Horse Hotel

The staff were very kind to us and spoke English, which was helpful since I’m from France. The WiFi worked really well at reception, but not in the room. The beach and several restaurants are close by, and there’s an outdoor pool. It’s a comfortable, luxury-style hostel in Hurghada. I travelled with a friend to explore Egypt, including the Cairo pyramids and Hurghada city, and we stayed in Egypt for 8 days.

The rooms were spacious and really comfortable, and the hotel is near the beach and not far from central Hurghada. Sibaj and Mohammed welcomed me and helped me throughout my two-night stay. I hope I’ve got their names spelled right. They were efficient and very helpful. Great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The pool is small and really cold. Apart from that, the hotel met my expectations for the low price. It’s not a big place, which gives it a cosy feel. The value for money is good, the breakfast is honest enough, and the hosts are friendly and try to meet guests’ requests. I stayed 8 days. I’d recommend it if your holiday isn’t about spending the whole time at the hotel.

The pool is small, unheated, and only comes up to about chest depth. I’m 5’6”. There’s a rooftop game room by the pool with pool, air hockey, foosball, and ping pong, plus a restaurant. I only tried the coffee, and that was a mess. When I visited, the WiFi wasn’t working. The gym was one of my reasons for choosing the place, but it doesn’t function as a gym. The room was basic and small, with no microwave or mini fridge, and the closet made the space feel tight. It did have a balcony, and the AC was great. Breakfast was decent, with Egyptian options and omelettes made to order. These beaches are available: Family beach for 50 pounds, Sand beach and Seahorse, prices uncertain, and Da Vinci for 200 pounds.
