We arrived without much of a plan during our week-long backpacking trip through Egypt, and stayed here for two nights. Mr. Hanni, Mohammed, and the rest of the staff helped us put together a great time: scuba diving, an ATV Bedouin excursion, and a full-day tour of Luxor. The hospitality was wonderful and the experience unforgettable. Thanks again!

Hany and the staff made us feel welcome and looked after us the whole time. They were happy to run out for food, beer, or bus tickets so we wouldn’t have to pay “traveler prices,” and wanted us to relax and feel at home on their lovely roof patio. They really went above and beyond. Finding the guest house took a bit of effort, but it was absolutely worth it. My friends and I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

For the first three days, I’d lost my card and felt awful because I couldn’t pay for the hostel, one of those travel hassles. Then I met Gabriel & Hanni, the hosts at Sea waves Hostel. They were so sweet and looked after me like brothers helping each other out. They were patient throughout my stay, and we could talk for hours about art, food, and sightseeing in Egypte. The rooms are clean enough for the price.

The room was amazing, with air con and an en suite bathroom, and the guys were super great. It’s a quiet spot beside the best dive center in hurghada, and the price is really good. Breakfast isn’t prepared unless you wake them up, so we missed it every morning. They made us dinner one evening instead, and there was lots of food.

Mr. Hany is the best, always ready to help with whatever you need. The hostel is quiet, cozy, friendly, and really central, close to the public beach, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. Coffee is always available for free, and he offers breakfast when you wake up. Checkout is flexible, with no strict time, and we felt comfortable and happy there. We especially loved the quiet. Nobody bothers you, and you can relax, read, or text on the roof.
