The garden, with all its trees and birds, was such a lovely spot to sit and unwind, and the food was very good. Gabalawy, the owner, was wonderfully hospitable and could arrange whatever we needed, from taxis and bikes to transfers, all at good prices. The west bank historical sites are close enough to reach on foot or by bike. Most of all, Rose Guesthouse felt like a home away from home. Thanks, Gabalawy, for making me feel so at home!

I’ve come back again and again over many years. It’s a lovely, peaceful oasis, with a beautiful green garden and the best host you could hope for. Don’t miss dinner. It’s authentic Egyptian food, deliciously served with spices. I’ve just returned and will be back again in February.

The staff were iconic, treating us like princesses even though we aren't, and they knew how to take care of all our needs. Jaba and Mohamed know there were plenty! I’ll miss my home in Luxor and will definitely come back.

We stayed for three nights and booked a hot air balloon tour through the guesthouse. We got the wrong information about the time, and the owner handled things irresponsibly. He also accused us of cheating and slandered us without checking the facts first, even trying to pull one person in our group over to his side. We asked him to show evidence of the alleged cheating and apologize for what he said, but he stayed completely silent. We found his behavior cowardly and despicable. We can provide evidence of the slander if asked. Guests should think carefully before dealing with someone with such a bad personality. The person who booked the rooms and his accomplice is Mr. Van Quang Ho.
