Full Moon House

We had a fantastic time at Full Moon House, and we’ll definitely be back. The house has a lovely, well-kept facade and is beautifully decorated. From the super chill Westend, it’s easy to hop on a Tuktuk or motorboat to the bustling East End for a few pounds. At the end of January the temperatures were perfect, and the shop next door charged Egyptian prices even for tourists. Mostafa is a natural-born host, friendly and helpful. He arranged lots of excursions for us ahead of time, and they all went smoothly, from the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple to a Felukka ride and a magic balloon ride. Mohammed and Abdo on the housekeeping team were top-notch and quick to respond when we needed something. We had many special requests, and Mostafa always answered really fast 💛. There wasn’t a single wish that went unfulfilled. Our apartment was a dream, with everything we needed, and the view of the Nile and sunrise was breathtaking. It really is the prettiest place on the street. We even had a heater, which was welcome because January nights can get cold. Thanks, Full Moon House, for an unforgettable stay! 👍😍

The hosts were amazing and could help arrange any trip, making sure we had a great time. The top room had fantastic views of the Nile on one side and the mountain by the Valley of the Kings on the other. Breakfast was great, served on a terrace overlooking the East Bank, and there were a few places to eat nearby. What a lovely place to stay!

Mahmoud felt more like a real friend than a host. He showed us real Egyptian life and helped us book lots of activities. Even after we’d moved on, he kept checking in every day to see if we were doing well and having fun. His brother Mohamed was super kind and friendly too, and together they made Full Moon feel like home. The room was great, and the terrace had an unbelievable view of the Nile and Luxor. We couldn’t get enough of it. This was our first stop in Egypt, and we couldn’t have chosen better. Thank you, guys!

This west bank apartment sits right in front of the Nile, with Luxor Temple visible across the river. The ferry gets you to the East Bank in 10 minutes, but negotiate the price. A supermarket with GOOD, Egyptian prices is very close, and there’s also an ATM nearby and a decent pizza shop on the lane. Being near the West Bank sites, including the Valley of Kings and hetshupet, means lower cab charges. There aren’t many places to eat outside, and there’s no public transport.
