Bliss Nada Resort Beach

The barbecue chef deserves a mention, he kept bringing me roasted chicken, and the pool bar service was fast and friendly. Most of the staff were helpful, the drinks were more or less drinkable, and the price felt fair if you're not too demanding. They moved me promptly to a room with a sea view. I'd rate the hotel around 70%, writing this review 5 months away from my visit. It's fine if you don't expect anything extra. The stay was badly organized, with no backup vacancy, so I had to check out early despite a night flight. I then waited 16 hours at reception for my flight. The hotel is old and due for a refresh, and the meals are still average even with the barbecue chef trying his best. Summer gets crowded, especially at mealtimes. I also found some tourists from Poland rude and intrusive, especially their children, and not everyone kept their manners. One receptionist was really unfriendly to me, and the animators acted as if they owned the place and ignored people. I wouldn't visit again or recommend it if you have other options. I've stayed at several hotels in Egypt, and my reviews include better-rated ones.

Bliss Nada was a lovely stay, largely because of the staff. The waiters work incredibly hard, are kind and helpful, and keep smiling despite the pressure. Magdy was always ready to help and had a smile for us. They are the reason the hotel feels so friendly. I watched the manager for a week. He controls the waiters too strictly, and the hardest-working, most polite ones seem to receive the most criticism. It's unfair, harms the hotel's reputation, and makes lunch or dinner uncomfortable when he criticizes a waiter at the restaurant entrance. He should treat them fairly or change jobs. I hope their efforts are appreciated and the restaurant manager rethinks his behavior. His attitude is why I can't give five stars. The hotel itself is fantastic, and the staff service is exceptional. I have great admiration for the waiters' dedication and professionalism.

I booked Bliss Nada Beach Resort through Agoda for 4 nights, prepaid in full at EGP 9,650. The hotel later said it wouldn't honor that price for Egyptians and asked me for EGP 16,000 instead. I found that discriminatory and very disappointing. Agoda offered to refund the difference, but the experience damaged my trust. I hope the hotel changes its booking policies and treats guests equally.

The house reef at Bliss Nada is stunning, though the sea access is by jetty, with reef rather than sand and no direct walk-in access. Marsa Alam is a calm-water or reef and diving destination, so people should look into that before complaining. In October we mostly had a yellow flag, which still allowed swimming, and there was a responsible lifeguard. The WiFi was slow, a small downside that matters less when you're on holiday. With so many guests, a strong connection is difficult, and people would stream and such. You can get a local SIM at the market with good data coverage if you need it. The hotel is cleverly laid out, with a nice lobby. The rooms aren't new, but they're fine for an adventurous or relaxing holiday, with powerful Aircon, Tv, a clean bathroom, solid wood and stone furniture, and views of the sea and surroundings. At this price range, it's unbeatable, and some reviewers should consider that. Staff were friendly and hardworking, service was quick, and the front desk was professional. Food was very good, with a large range of dishes and desserts and a BBQ every dinner. The alcohol selection is appreciated in a Muslim country, and the drinks were decent and strong. The animation team was superb. I'd definitely return, and I will. Love to Bliss Nada from Czech Republic!
