The staff at the main dining restaurant made our week at Mövenpick especially memorable. Shahinda, Mohammad Aitty and Sarah always greeted us with big smiles and such kind hearts. They celebrated my friend’s birthday beautifully, and being around them made us feel happy and comfortable. The chefs were welcoming, attentive and generous too. I visited Sharm El Sheikh for the first time last week and stayed for a week. The hotel is beautiful, with clean beaches, stunning architecture and lots of services and activities. It’s calm and relaxing, away from busy life and children, and there’s almost no reason to leave. The restaurant food was delicious with a very wide variety. One thing bothered us a little: some younger reception staff seemed short-tempered, didn’t always listen, and sometimes spoke in a tone that felt like they were trying to prove their point. Still, it didn’t spoil what was a very memorable stay. It was one of my best experiences in a long time, and I’d definitely consider coming back.

I loved being able to pick between quiet private beaches and livelier ones depending on the mood. The location is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, the food is delicious, and the whole place feels relaxed. The service was excellent and the staff so friendly. Special thanks to Islam at the beach bar and Coco, who really made our stay better. We’d definitely come back, highly recommended!

The sea and scenery were the only truly “wow” parts of our holiday. The staff were kind and welcoming, though. Islaam, the waiter at Liwa restaurant, deserves a special mention for being exceptionally cheerful, friendly and attentive. We haven’t met a waiter that warm in a long time. We were disappointed by the service and by the so-called “all inclusive” setup, which didn’t feel like a real all-inclusive stay or a 5-star hotel. Our travel agency said it was all-inclusive, and that’s how it was presented everywhere. But when we arrived, we were asked to sign for “soft all inclusive”: only the main restaurant and drinks from one beach bar were included. Other restaurants and bars had to be paid for separately, and so did the minibar. We were shocked, as we’d never encountered that at another hotel. It was confusing to work out what was and wasn’t included, so eventually we gave up trying and ate only in the main restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you plan to spend your holiday strictly at the beach. The hotel should describe what it offers accurately so tourists know what they’re choosing. Advertising as all-inclusive while providing such a limited version feels unprofessional.

The food was delicious, definitely a 10/10, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. We also found plenty to do, including tennis, horse riding and the diving center. The reception team was welcoming and friendly, and handled requests super fast. Amazing place and a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

The beaches were beautiful, and the man at the towel hut was lovely. Excursions booked through the hotel salesmen were relatively cheap. That’s about where the good points end. We’ve stayed at lots of hotels in Sharm, and this was by far the worst. Awful, never again. Save your money and go elsewhere. The all-inclusive offer wasn’t all-inclusive. At the bar where the adult evening entertainment took place, drinks were charged, and the entertainment only ran for two hours. The acts were awful: a man played recorder for a couple of nights, then a woman sang on the other nights. Nobody watched, probably because you had to pay for drinks to be there. There was no daytime entertainment at all. Our room was spacious but desperately needed a deep clean and decorating. The shower and sink were extremely mouldy, bits of wooden decoration had fallen off the door, and there were random hooks that looked like they should have held artwork. The balcony doors and shower screen didn’t close properly. Housekeeping was poor: towels weren’t changed, toiletries weren’t topped up, and there were no towel animals. Large sections of the hotel were fenced off for work, which was clearly needed because the place looked shabby overall. We weren’t impressed when a digger was ripping up the path outside our room at 10pm, extremely loudly. The communal toilets throughout the hotel were disgusting, and the locks were broken in the ones by the pool and restaurant. We asked reception if they had scales to weigh our case, and they didn’t. Everywhere else we’ve stayed in Egypt, we’ve been treated like royalty, but not here. Staff weren’t attentive. We finished dinner every night without even being offered a drink, though the food was okay.
