We came for my birthday and left after 24 hours. The room was filthy when we arrived around 8:30 pm, and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. There were crumbs, fag burns, and black hair on the bed, cemented skid marks on the toilet, toothpaste spattered on the sink and mirror, and strange stains on the chairs. The door handle was loose, and the door opened from outside even when locked from inside. We felt unsafe enough to barricade ourselves in. When we complained the next morning, staff sent someone who showed us how to open and close the door but didn’t seem bothered that it opened while locked. They said housekeeping would come during the day. We spent the day at the beach because we didn’t feel safe in the hotel, but when we came back around 5pm, the room hadn’t been touched. We felt too threatened to complain again. The welcome had felt wrong from the start. Staff were gathered together staring at us, and there was no warmth. When we went for a drink that first night, we were told alcohol cost extra despite having paid for all inclusive. We let it go because we’d had a long travel day and planned to try again in the morning. At night there were loud staff, or people we took to be staff because they didn’t wear the same blue wristbands as us, acting like guests, getting drunk and playing loud music until around 2am. Another English man in the dining room warned us not to eat the food, saying he’d seen rats in the kitchen and staff hadn’t cared. We lasted two nights only because our next flight wasn’t until Friday, after arriving Wednesday. We left at 10 Friday morning even though our flight was at 8pm, because we felt so unsafe and threatened. We slept fully clothed because the bed felt so dirty, putting t-shirts over the pillows and keeping our hoods up with as much clothing on as possible. This place is vile and nowhere near standard. It has made us never want to return to Egypt. We’ve never experienced anything like it, and it felt as if staff were staying there as guests. I think this hotel needs shutting down, and I don’t think that’s an overreaction. Any review over 1 stars is fake. I’ll attach pictures below.

This was the worst hotel experience ever. I contacted them two months before arrival, and they sent me the price list for christmass. I agreed to it. Three weeks before arrival, I asked if we could send the money, and they said paying before check-in was fine. They only asked for passports, which I sent. Fifteen hours before arrival, I wrote that we were on the way and asked whether the room was ready. They replied, “SURE.” But when we arrived, they said we had no reservation. I’d only been communicating with the owner, who hadn’t passed any of this information on to the hotel. So on 24.12 we were left out on the street.

The hotel itself looks old and doesn’t seem well cared for. What made the stay much worse was the staff. We were there with our family, and whenever we asked something, they shouted at us and acted disrespectfully. Some of the rudest service we’ve ever had. I can’t understand how people with no manners like that work in a hotel.

We’d come back to Egypt, but sadly not to this hotel. The place needs a lot of work, and the menu needs a serious improvement. The food was poor, and the drinks were limited to one spirit each night that didn’t even taste alcoholic, so paying extra for that felt like a waste. We did find a lovely spot next door called safety stop, with great food at a great price. Our room had a pool view, though it wasn’t the best, and the staff treated us okay during our week there.

The food was disgusting, and the shops worth visiting are about a ten-minute walk away. The place looks run-down overall, and our room wasn’t as clean as we expected. It all felt pretty tatty.
