Charmillion Club Aqua Park

We had rooms facing the construction site, where work started at 6:00 a.m. Reception said changing rooms was impossible, even though occupancy was low. The front desk needs better training. The rooms are a little old, but clean and well maintained. There’s a shuttle to the beach every hour. The kitchen staff put their heart and soul into the quite good food, and the waiters are friendly and helpful. Recommended for families with kids up to 14 years old.

We had a wonderful week at Charmillion Club Aqua Park, and would definitely return. The hotel and grounds were very clean and tidy. Ramadan did a fantastic job cleaning our spacious, clean room, and was kind and attentive to our needs. The beds were huge. The pools were fabulous for everyone from toddlers to adults. Our toddler loved the slides and spent other days in the relax pool. The lifeguards worked hard and were very alert about keeping everyone safe. The daytime entertainment was great fun, and our 3 year old enjoyed lots of activities and the mini disco. The nighttime shows were okay, but we usually went back to our room after the mini disco. Reception staff were helpful, but our arrival was frustrating. I had specifically asked for a ground floor room when booking, yet we were first given one on the first floor. I was told that wasn’t a problem and offered a ground floor room. We’d also asked for a cot and were told it was fine, but there wasn’t one when we arrived. The phone didn’t work, so we asked our porter, and my husband had to go back to reception to request a travel cot again, quite late at night. We’d upgraded to a suite after booking so our 3 year old could have his own room. Food and drinks were okay. The food was repetitive, but well cooked, and none of us got sore tummies. The drinks were good, though the spirits all tasted much the same, and cocktails were a bit like juice whatever kind you tried. Mamoud in the dining hall was extremely helpful, attentive, friendly, and made an effort to make our children laugh. Ahmed, who worked on the restaurant patio, was kind and always smiling. The bar staff were great at their jobs and nothing was a problem. Shout out to Omar for his great, friendly service. Thank you for a wonderful week!

The animation team were really nice, interactive, and kind. The resort itself is good, and everything is close together. The aquapark was fun, but closes too early, and I wish it stayed open later. The mat slides are bumpy and uncomfortable, and lifeguards let the next rider go before the previous one is down, which feels less safe. There isn’t much to do nearby or much evening entertainment beyond the amphitheater shows. The food was very bad and repetitive, and didn’t taste good. The pasta was especially weird, the "alfredo sauce" tasted like flour mixed with water, and after one plate I had no appetite. Fresh juice costs 80 LE at an "all inclusive" resort, while the regular juice is practically inedible. Too many things aren’t included. If we visited again, it would only be for the aquapark.

Doaa from guest relations was incredibly helpful when my family and I had a few minor issues. She was welcoming and attentive, and I really appreciate all her help during our stay. I’d love to return to this hotel. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful, and the bars on site were great. The grounds were immaculate, with gardeners tending to them daily, and our room was cleaned very well every day.
