Once I finally got the room I’d expected, the stay became enjoyable. The dive shop on the property was excellent, with the reef right off the beach, and the people there were very nice. Breakfast was just okay, though, nothing special. I’d driven from the Taba border crossing in Israel to Sharm for my birthday and booked the premium room because its picture showed an open sea view. When I first opened the door, the balcony looked out onto a roof with solar water heaters. The Wi Fi also wouldn’t work. I nearly paid to leave that same day, but the manager agreed to move me and a very helpful IT person got my Wifi working. The new room finally had the view in the picture. The rooms and the whole property are dated. I could have overlooked that if I’d been given the room I paid for from the start. By American or European standards, there’s no way this was a 5 star hotel, more like a 2.5.

Getting around was easy because the golf carts came by often, almost like a shuttle bus, so I didn’t have to call for one each time. The staff were friendly, the pool was clean without a strong chlorine smell, and breakfast was delicious. I was very satisfied with my stay. My room was modern and clean, the bathroom was well maintained, and the bedding was comfortable and clean. Some kitchenware and the sink made the place seem older, but overall it looked renovated.

The food was very good, with lots of choices each day. We’d have liked a few more European and Slavic dishes, just our personal preference and not a complaint. The restaurant waiters gave great service, and the heated pool near reception had especially lovely staff. Thanks in particular to lifeguards Mohamed Adel, Ahmed Sayed, and Abdelrahman. Our family had a wonderful holiday here. The hotel and rooms were great, housekeeping was done very professionally every day, and the grounds were clean and well kept. Everyone was polite and friendly, and it felt like the staff were doing everything for the guests. Service: 10+. Staff: 10. Hotel: 10. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Everyone on the team was impeccable, and we’ll definitely come back. Robin, Mohamed Adel, and Dandrawy, thank you for everything you did for us, including cleaning our sunglasses! You’ll need to be okay with lots of steps here. The hotel and food were great, though I’m not a fish lover, and the service and snorkeling were amazing. Robin and Ahmed were brilliant pool staff, and thanks to the barman too. I only took stars off because they wanted 200 Egyptian to play a game of pool in the bar.
