Coral Sea Water World

The shallow beach stretches around 80-90 metres out, which worked well for the kids, and there are two heated pools: the main one and the children’s water park area. The other pools aren’t heated, though you get used to the water once you’re in. The water park itself is great, with friendly staff who take safety seriously. There’s plenty of food and the standard was good. We often ate outside near the beach, especially enjoying the chicken shawarma wraps. All the restaurants are child friendly. We tried every bookable restaurant, and the steak place stood out; they were a little better than the buffet, though not quite like a full restaurant experience. Staff throughout the resort were attentive, cheerful, and helpful. The place is well kept and has modern amenities for families, including useful shops and a pharmacy. My one frustration was the cocktails. I like a drink on holiday, but because of cultural differences I never felt there was a decent amount of alcohol in them, even when I specifically asked. A solid choice for families, and I’d return.

Misha’s morning stretching sessions and darts with Tia were highlights for us. They’re both energetic, smiling, and great at getting everyone involved, a real credit to the hotel. The food was incredible, and the bar staff couldn’t do enough for us. We also had a karaoke night at hard rock with Tia, which I’d really recommend. It was my first visit, and I’d definitely come back.

We’ve had a great week at Coral Sea Waterworld, and everyone has worked so hard. Ali at the bar has been fantastic, and special thanks to the lifeguards Sedki & Mohamed, who are wonderful, along with the rest of their team. The lifeguards overall are excellent, the pool bar staff put in a huge effort to keep people happy, and the water park is great. The gardens are lovely and well cared for, and the hotel is very clean. It looks as if the rooms are being upgraded, though that may take a while since I don’t think the hotel closes at any point in the year. The food, drinks, and entertainment have all been great, and the entertainment team really tries to get guests involved. We’re grateful for the holiday, loved it here, and would definitely return. A great start to the New Year.

We arrived on Friday and have been having a lovely time. Everyone works incredibly hard, from the friendly bar staff to the animation team. Tia, Kyla, and Misha have been so helpful, made us laugh, and kept us entertained with loads of energy. They keep inviting us to join the activities, and I’d come back just to see them again. The food has been incredible too. Can’t wait to book another stay once we’re home!
