We stayed in December 2024. It was a bit windy and cold, though not too bad. The price was great, and apart from one issue with our view, everything was very nice. We were given a back-facing room without a balcony, just a window looking toward cypress trees. It was supposedly a garden view, but really just a wall of trees. We saw one other couple there, and their room faced the ocean, so I don't know why ours had no view at all. Maybe you need to ask in advance, but I'm not sure. The beach and cove are beautiful and very clean. You may see some natural debris from the ocean, but there isn't much, and it isn't trashy. The area is a little remote, with lots of residences, probably rentals or Airbnbs, but it's very quiet, without noisy traffic, bars or anything else. It could be a lovely romantic place for a honeymoon or getaway, though staying more than a night or two might get boring depending on what you like. Our room was Room 101. It and the bathroom were very small, but so nicely done that we didn't mind. We were there for the beach anyway. The room was spotless and even smelled clean. Everything had been updated, including the beds, fixtures and tile. The paint was the only thing that wasn't new, though it wasn't very old. Some smudges around the light fixtures could use a clean. It's not the Marriott, but for a small beachfront place, it was VERY good. Check-in worked in a smart way, despite what some people have said. The email communication was very good, and when the room was ready, almost an hour before the designated 3:00 p.m. check-in, they emailed clear instructions for getting the key. The restaurant was closed, as others have mentioned, so don't count on eating there. Other reviews say the food is bad anyway. Plan on the six-minute drive into town for a restaurant or grocery store. We had a lovely beach picnic instead, problem solved.

For this level of service, the price was far too high. The air conditioning didn't work and the shower was broken. Breakfast was 10 Europe per person, but the most I'd pay for it is maybe 3e. I paid extra for a sea view but got a corner room where you could only see a little bit of the sea from the balcony, even though all the other rooms were empty. The day before, we stayed somewhere else at exactly the same price, with much better facilities, a bigger room and an amazing breakfast. This place just feels like a money grab, with very low-class service.

4 marsh 2025. We had a family problem and asked to move our reservation by a few days so we could still stay at the hotel, but the customer service was very bad and they wouldn't discuss changing the dates. We cancelled the room and they took the full amount from our bank card, including payment for breakfasts we never ate. We won't go back. It's a pity.

The bathroom had nowhere to put toiletries except around the sink, and storage in the room was sparse, just a few wall shelves and an open rod with maybe six hangers. The description said there would be a fan, but there wasn't one. When I complained, they gave me one without any problem. The two ladies I met were very friendly and did their best to help with everything. The service was really helpful overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the sea view from the balcony. I hardly ever see the sea, so that was a highlight for me. It's a very calm place if you want peace and quiet, as long as you don't have roommates with loud kids, of course! The beach isn't very clean, with lots of leaves and other tree debris in the sand, and nobody cleaning it. Don't expect soft, clean sand. I was there at the end of October, and the village was pretty much dead. There wasn't a coffee shop or restaurant, so you have to drive 5 or 10 minutes to Augilas. Augilas is very good, with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and other stores. I can recommend the place overall, except for the horrible online customer support. I left earlier than planned and messaged to ask about a partial refund, both through booking.com and directly on the Maxcaly website. I also emailed them, but got no answer anywhere. That's frustrating and a dealbreaker for me. A reply shows they value customers, and even a negative answer would mean much more to me than silence.
