Hotel Amagatay Menorca

We came back for a second visit and somehow loved it even more than last year. They welcomed us like family, and the place is so charming, peaceful, and beautiful. It manages to feel luxurious while still being all about slow living and nature. The restaurant food is amazing. Enrique was so welcoming and kind, and even remembered what we enjoyed eating last year. They surprised us with our favourite breakfast each morning. Our room was ready even though we arrived very early, and I think we got one of the loveliest rooms on the property. I've travelled all over the world and stayed in some of the best hotels, but Amagatay is a real gem. Honestly, I almost want to keep it secret before it gets too popular. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Anna, thank you for getting up so early for checkout and breakfast. I'd love a gym, though ;) Can't wait to return to the Amagatay “family.” See you soon!

The setting was lovely, but the meal was a poor experience. My partner is pregnant and allergic to mustard. We told the waiter, who assured us her main course contained none, but it arrived visibly sprinkled with mustard seeds. They replaced it with plain, unseasoned chicken for 40 euros, and the delay meant we had to eat separately. As an apology, they offered my pregnant partner a free digestif, which is alcohol. Poor service all round.

You’ll need a car or some patience here, since taxis take around 15 minutes to arrive. Still, the hotel is a beautiful take on a farm stay, with stunning grounds and wonderful service. Room 12 is spacious and has private loungers out back. The restaurant food is delicious.

The staff were so engaged throughout our stay. Gary was a huge help, and Karen makes a mean margarita. An absolutely amazing experience, highly recommend!
