Hotel Las Terrazas Suite

We paid 95 for a room in a three-star hotel and found a soft bed that sagged in the middle. The cheap, flat pillow on each side was awful for my neck and back. Some strange mechanical noise kept going through the night, too. Avoid this place if you can. There wasn't even a basic kettle, tea or coffee bags, or welcome water, things you'd get in other hotels or even a hostel. The layout was ridiculous, with the bed facing a mirror and a cupboard without doors. In the toilet there were just two pieces of plastic paper and a plastic bag of soap gel. Every detail made it feel like the owner wasn't willing to spend a penny on the guest experience. We paid almost 100 euros, and the hostel offered better service.

We had a great one-night stopover. The hotel was easy to reach from the motorway, and there was no noise. Our bedroom was in the modern part, with a great shower, plenty of hot water, and helpful reception staff. The kitchen had closed, but the bar staff were amazing and still served tapas. There were plenty of drinks, and when we wanted to watch F1 on the big-screen smart TV, they actually called support to get it set up for us. Gorgeous stay, and we'll be back.

We booked one night at this two-star hotel for €44. The bed and bathroom were clean, which was all we needed. The entrance road from the neighborhood is very steep, though, so you have to drive carefully to avoid scraping the road.

There are two very different buildings here: a nice new one and an older, basic one with the noisy cafe. Reviews could be quite different depending on which one people mean. I couldn't afford the expensive rooms, so I stayed in the cheaper old building. They'd added free Wi-Fi to those rooms, and the hotel and room were very clean, with fresh paint and new floors. It took some effort to get the heater working, but thankfully it did in the end, and I was glad to have a warm place to sleep. There are lots of stairs and doors to get through. Parking is free. My room was on the side away from the freeway, so road noise wasn't a big problem, though it might be in other rooms.
