That little balcony is just big enough for two to stand on, and the valley view at sunset is lovely. The beds were really comfortable, the room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels and toilet paper were provided. There’s a microwave, fridge, two-burner electric stove, a comfortable shower and tub, and even a bidet. The photos online don’t show the place at its best. The couch, beds, and bedframe seem to have been updated since they were taken, though I didn’t get any better photos myself. The rest of the room feels a bit dated, but €50 a night for a studio in May was a very good deal. One thing to know: the “coffee machine” is a moka pot. If you’re driving and want something easier, you might bring your own Nespresso or Dolce Gusto. Street parking right outside is free. Check-in starts at 14h, and they let me stay until 13h on checkout day, which was very generous. Pick up the keys at the other hotel farther down the street, beside the gas station. There are plenty of nearby places to see, including Brozas, the Tagus river area and nature, Segura just over the border in Portugal, and Alcántara’s Roman bridge and historic buildings.
