The views are lovely, and we had a peaceful, comfortable week. The cottage was clean when we arrived, and Eli’s daughter welcomed us. The pool was a little cold at first, but that didn’t bother us. There’s a double bedroom with access to a terrace that leads to the kitchen, a smaller bedroom with a medium-sized bed, a storage room, a kitchen and dining area, a small living room, and a patio with barbecue and pool. The bathroom has a shower, jacuzzi, bidet, and two sinks, plus two shower gels. Nearly all the bathroom cabinet drawers were stuck shut. A few things could use attention. The air conditioning kept switching off, so we had to turn it back on repeatedly. Kitchen utensils were sparse, with no cutting board or usable knives. There were four knives: one serrated, one dull, one with a broken handle, and another broken one held together with tape. I fixed that one with the electrical tape I always carry just in case. There were also butter knives and scissors with both handles broken. On the plus side, there were plenty of barbecue skewers, dish soap, a scouring pad, a broom, and a mop and bucket. We had a really good time, and I recommend it.
