The breakfast is out of this world, and there are exceptional restaurants nearby in the village. Set in the countryside, it’s still close enough to the coast and beach. The photos don’t really show how good it is: the rooms are spacious and quiet, arranged around the pool, with no sight or sound of other guests. One of the best B&Bs I’ve ever stayed in.

Pieter & Margot are lovely, attentive hosts, and there’s an honesty bar with a well-equipped pool area. We only booked four nights, but didn’t want to leave. Breakfast was fresh, homemade, and had a personal touch, among the best we’ve ever had. The rooms are roomy, nicely decorated, and each has its own outdoor space. Thank you for everything!

We stayed earlier this year and found the room clean, spacious, and well furnished. The hosts gave us generous, easygoing hospitality. Breakfast was wonderful: homemade bread, yogurt and jams, excellent coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool, plus an honesty bar with a good range of drinks. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

A photo popped up on Facebook this morning and brought back our March 2021 stay, when we were hiking a couple of nearby GR 249 routes. I should have written this review back then. I can’t say if breakfast is still served like this, but the picture shows how hard Peter and Margot worked to feed and entertain us, maybe even fatten us up! Definitely one of the top places to stay in southern Spain.

Margot & Pieter looked after us so well that we felt comfortable very quickly. Casa Luz del Sur is a beautiful place to unwind, with a lovingly restored finca that feels like home. The rooms are high quality, tastefully decorated, and extremely clean, and breakfast comes with lots of homemade treats. What we experienced here deserves the name “The leading B&B accommodation of the world.” TOP, and absolutely recommendable! Rosa and Michael
