Apartamentos Bahía Alicante

Much of the building is under renovation or demolition, but the listing photos don’t show it and are clearly outdated. We also struggled to find the property properly on Google, since Booking calls it „L&G Apartments Bahia Suite“. We booked based on the pictures, which make the interiors look similar, but they’re misleading. One picture shows two closed roller shutters that look like garages, apparently converted into apartments. We were put in one of them. Before arrival, we were promised “fast check-in,” but we were given the wrong door number and, after some confusion, finally got into a ground-floor unit. The listing pictures show windows with open views of the sky or sea. Our windows faced the street, with only milky glass between us and pedestrians and cars. There were no curtains, so passersby could see inside; opening a window left us exposed to people on the street. The bed was right by the door, and we heard cars, pedestrians, and everything else outside. It was the opposite of a peaceful stay. We asked the host for another apartment and waited over three hours. We had to call different numbers repeatedly, were told “one second” several times, then were ignored. Nobody offered an alternative, solution, or compensation. Because of the poor communication and lack of professionalism, we booked somewhere else, costing us time, stress, and extra money. We should have checked the booking more carefully beforehand, and hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake. The experience felt misleading and unprofessional, and we wouldn’t recommend this accommodation.
