Ibis Hotel Alicante

It’s a little outside the city centre, but buses C6 and 27 get you there in about 15 minutes, and the FreeNow taxi app worked well. Oddly, street taxis cost much less than Bolt, FreeNow, or Uber. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well organised, had a pleasant scent throughout, and the staff were kind and helpful.

I was in the budget part of the hotel, and that suited me just fine. It has what you need to sleep, the staff are very nice, and breakfast is good and served for a long time. The room could use better sound insulation.

Good value, about 15 minutes from the airport and on a main bus route. It’s roughly an hour’s walk to the marina, or about E10 by Uber. There’s a nice palm tree park around a 15-minute walk away, and food is available until 11pm. The only problem we had was a bit of flooding from the wetroom shower. Really good experience overall.

I stayed for four nights. The hotel is close to the airport, has a nice sea view, good Wi-Fi, free parking, a continental buffet breakfast, and nice staff. Getting to the town centre takes about 14 minutes by car, so you’ll need a bus or car. The rooms are small, and the walls don’t block sound well. You can hear people talking or walking in the corridors and doors closing, which gets a bit annoying.
