MyFlats Luxury Downtown

We were there for three nights as a couple in late October. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the rooftop pool was a nice extra. The location is fantastic, right in the city center and about a five-minute walk from the beach. Rooms are spacious, fairly modern, and have all the facilities you need. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that the rooms need a fresh coat of paint.

The apartment’s location is its main selling point. It’s clean, the furniture is fairly new, and it has air conditioning with heat and dry settings. There’s a washing machine and dishwasher, plus care kits with sponges and tablets. My main issue is that the bathroom door doesn’t lock. For the past two nights, the Wi-Fi has stopped working after 11 pm and said “Internet not available,” though the main Wi-Fi in the lobby works fine.

With the property fully booked, they moved us to the basement of the building next door. It was dark, there were blood stains on the pillow, and we spotted three more bugs while being shown the apartment. The so-called balcony faced the back of the building, with noisy fans and food smells. At the original apartment, I counted at least seven cockroaches in the patio, including two huge ones, before I gave up counting. They were running toward the door. Management called it “a couple of insects,” but the place was clearly infested. We were paying €200 a night, and it was a nightmare for my family. The front desk closed at 8 pm. I called eight times and nobody answered. Customer service was nonexistent. We didn’t want this to ruin our family holiday, so we left the next day. When I asked for even a partial refund, management hid behind its “policy” and charged us for three nights. “Money comes first, people last.” I can’t recommend the property, given the hygiene and complete lack of concern for guests’ wellbeing.

The best thing about these apartments is the location. We stayed in 1B, which faces the back street, and it can get noisy in the morning when they collect the rubbish. The apartment is modern, but the rooms and furniture need to be cleaner. The bed is right in front of you when you enter, which I personally don’t like, and it feels dark inside. The sofa in this apartment is especially dirty, and the whole place could be cleaner. You should provide hand soap in the bathroom, a kitchen towel, and dishwasher tablets. At Careefore, it costs 1 euro for 0.5 litres, so if you want maximum satisfaction, you need to supply more. The extra €30 charge for check-in after 10 pm was another downside, since it wasn’t mentioned on the online check-in or in any of my emails with you. The staff were polite and helpful, and Sara was our first contact, so all the best to her. With some updates to the cleanliness and supplies, it could be as luxurious as the name suggests.
