Old Town Alicante

The room itself was okay, but the noise made it impossible to sleep well, night after night. The walls are paper-thin, and on the first night someone rang the doorbell like crazy late at night, waking the whole floor. One window has no curtain, so the light wakes you up too. It's hot, with no AC, and the bathrooms stink. I also got a cold shower in the morning. The location is good, but I don't recommend staying here. It's cheap for a reason.

For a short stay, this was great. The receptionist who helped me was very useful, even sorting out a taxi for me quickly. The shared bathrooms stayed clean despite how often they were used. I did take off a star because B&B means “Bed and Breakfast,” and there was no breakfast available, even for an extra charge. I asked.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Communication was nonexistent and the service was terrible. Nobody contacted us by email, phone, text, or through Hotels.com. We arrived at 9pm and couldn't get an answer from anyone. The hotel was already paid for, but we couldn't stay that night, and Hotels.com offered no help. Terrible service.

The shared bathroom and everything else were very clean, and it was good value until we got charged an extra €15 for checking in after 8pm. It's well placed, very close to the train station and just a short walk from the seafront.
