Apartamentos Torreluz

I’ve now stayed at all the Torreluzs, and this is the last one. This was the only one with its own kitchen area. It was very comfortable, and I’d find it hard to choose a favourite among them. Five stars for all.

The location is the one thing going for this place, but I still wouldn't stay again. The apartment feels worn out and needs work. It’s small, dusty, and the sheets were stained; the towels were fraying and some toilet dispensers were empty. I could also hear the doors next door opening and shutting a lot. The old elevator barely fits a suitcase.

We won't come back. They make you pay a security deposit even though the room is already paid for, and then take several days to return it. That policy feels abusive.

The location is right in the city center, and when I asked for a toaster, reception supplied one. But the space is clearly converted, so it doesn't feel like a typical apartment. The bathroom has been adapted, with the floor raised. The kitchen has no furniture, cupboards, or counter for making breakfast, and there isn't a dish rack or dining table, just a tiny table. The sink has no hot water, and kitchen equipment has to be requested from reception. The elevator is extremely small, too. Optional parking is on the third floor, reached by making six 360-degree turns, so you probably won't want to move your car much.
