Hotel L'ast

We paid 100 euros for a room with no air conditioning, and the towel situation was a mess. When we arrived, we were told the towels were delayed because of an apparent dry-cleaning problem. We got just one towel to share, then went to bed without any and still had none in the morning. The room was clean, but the terrace wasn’t, and the place badly needs an update. It feels like a hotel from the 70s with a very questionable renovation. Not worth the price. What a shame.

After our car broke down on the way to France, we arrived late, hot, sweaty, and miserable. John at reception was charming and took care of everything we needed, including suggesting places to eat and visit. The lovely staff, nice pool, good breakfast, and superb shower turned a bad situation into a pleasant stay. It’s a great hotel, and we’d definitely go back.

We’ve liked this hotel before, but this visit was disappointing. There was no hot water, and the hotel’s response was that it “wasn’t our fault”; they offered no discount. That felt very unprofessional. They also provided just one tiny bottle for soap, shower gel, and shampoo between two people. Poor service for a price that was far too high.

The location is really nice. Our room was pretty standard, but the balcony looked out over the pool and had a good view.
