There was some work going on in May 2026, but the disruption was minimal. You can hear the street noise and it does disturb sleep, which usually really bothers me in hotels, but for some reason it didn’t seem to bother me here. Still 5* for me. The service was amazing, the rooms were nice enough and had lots of space. Great value, in my opinion.

The location was great, but the hotel is very old and outdated, and the amenities don’t compare with those at another 4-star hotel. I wouldn’t rate it as 4-star.

There’s sometimes no warm water, so showering can be impossible. The rooms look like they’re from the 70's, with no plugs by the beds and only one available plug in the whole room. Horrible hotel, definitely not 5 stars.

After reading the hotel's response, I found it arrogant and full of excuses. They couldn’t even guarantee basic amenities. When the drain backed up, they brought a mop and wiped the floor, but the room smelled foul all night. The second front desk staff member was especially rude. We called for shower gel, and he said he’d come right away. We waited while I was in the middle of showering, until my friend went down and asked for it in person. First he said he couldn’t find any. When my friend suggested taking some from an empty room so I could finish showering, he refused and told us to go ahead and complain. Unreasonable and arrogant, much like the response. Our first two nights were mostly fine, but the third ended in a serious breakdown in service and cleanliness. We came back from shopping in heavy rain to find the room partly flooded from a blocked drain and the bedroom window wide open. We were on the 3rd floor, with no security bars, which felt like a serious safety concern. The man at the front desk was helpful and fixed the drain quickly, which we appreciated. After that, we found there was no shower gel. The new staff member at the desk didn’t know where replacements were kept. The 300ml shampoo and shower gel bottles had been almost full the night before, but now they were nearly empty. When we wanted to make a formal complaint, we were told to “lodge a complaint through the platform.” The housekeeping on that last night felt like intentional targeting. Long hairs were visible on the sheets, dirty bowls were left in the sink, and the window had been left wide open. We still don’t know whether the room was secure or whether someone had come in. Almost all the toiletries had been poured out, leaving just a little in each bottle. We didn’t notice until we were already showering. This didn’t feel like ordinary neglect, it felt personal and retaliatory. The same jobs had been done properly the day before. We no longer felt safe or respected as guests. I don’t recommend this hotel if security, consistency or basic customer care matter to you.
