Alberguinn Youth Hostel

The location worked really well for me, only a short walk from the train station. Inside, everything felt clean and fresh, and I never had to wait to use a toilet or shower. Staff were warm and happy to answer questions or share tips. I had a great stay and would recommend it.

For the price, it’s a solid cheap option in barcelona, especially if you don’t want to pay €30 or more per night. The staff were really friendly and I had a pleasant time, but the place itself felt run down and kind of odd. Toilets could be cleaner, and the bedrooms smelled bad.

The shared rooms can be tough when people don’t think about guests who are already asleep, so bring earplugs. Apart from that, the place was good: common areas were clean, and the beds had curtains for privacy plus a locker drawer. Reception is open all day and night, with very helpful staff, and the location is practical.

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the station, and the bathrooms are nice. The room had air conditioning, and the desk staff were really friendly. My only complaints were that there wasn’t good drinking water and the AC shut off in the morning. People mostly kept to themselves, so it wasn’t easy to meet anyone. It was my first hostel, and it set a pretty high bar, though it didn’t feel much like one since families were staying in other rooms.
