We stayed three nights and had to catch early trains on two mornings. The hotel kindly put together breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was great. It’s a little out of the way, but the neighborhood is quiet, just what we wanted. The air conditioning didn’t seem to work at its best, so summer could be a challenge. Staff were warm and welcoming throughout. I was confused at first when nobody answered my email before we arrived, but it turned out to be a busy hotel running with a lean team. Once we were there, they handled our requests right away.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the air conditioning worked great. This is a lovely small hotel, quiet and easy to get to and from all our destinations around Barcelona. The staff communicate well and are ready to help when needed. I felt really looked after and would definitely stay again. If you want a smaller boutique hotel, I’d choose this one.

We were in Barcelona without much of a plan, then at 10 p.m. decided to visit the Sagrada Família. Tickets for the next day were sold out, but Nicola went out of their way to find two on the official government website, which hadn’t shown up when I searched Google. The room on the first floor, at ground level, was good, with two windows facing the interior courtyard. I really liked the small reading light beside the bed, handy and well designed. It would’ve been even better to have a USB charger for guests’ phones.

My family and I couldn’t shower on our last day because the hotel wouldn’t give us extra shampoo and body wash, saying there was a strict limit. In hot weather, when you need to shower every day, that was really disappointing and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than three days.
