We had an evening flight, so we asked if we could leave our bags at the hotel while we spent more time exploring. They were happy to hold them for us, which saved a lot of hassle. Other hotels we've stayed at haven't offered that. The room was comfortable and kept in good shape, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and makes it easy to get around the city. Thanks especially to Joaquin and his team for looking after us so well. We had a great stay and would gladly come back.

I only spent an afternoon at Axel Hotel Barcelona, using the rooftop pool and bar, but I liked it enough that I'd consider staying there on another trip. The pool area was comfortable, the drinks were good, and the whole place felt relaxed and friendly. A nice spot to cool off, enjoy the sun, or sit with a cocktail for a while. The staff and other guests made me feel welcome. The hotel is also right in a central part of Barcelona, with attractions, restaurants, shops, and nightlife all within walking distance.

My superior room was a good size, comfortable, and cleaned every day. The public areas were clean and generally in good condition, and the staff were professional and friendly. Alvaro was especially charming when he checked me out. The hotel is near a lot of gay venues, and it's also well connected by public transport. A good base for exploring Barcelona.

The hotel was tidy and well cared for, and the staff were kind and helpful. We had a pleasant stay and the service was good. We hadn't realized from the description or messages that the hotel is mainly oriented toward the LGBTQ+ community. If you're unfamiliar with that kind of environment, it might feel a little uncomfortable. People were respectful and friendly, though, and we had a good experience overall. Just something for future guests to know.
