We paid around €780 for the stay, but were offered just €50 in compensation. The issue dragged on and never reached a fair resolution, so I can't recommend accommodation managed by this company. We had a very negative experience with one of its Barcelona apartments. The place we originally booked had visible mold, a serious hygiene concern. We were made to move late at night with our two small children, leaving us no chance to find somewhere else. The replacement was clearly lower quality and had ongoing construction, which the company knew about in advance: official notices were posted on the doors. The noise made normal rest impossible. The listing also said there was a piano, but it was only decorative and couldn't be used.

We had a great holiday in a spacious apartment with a nice balcony and terrace. The host was super kind and gave us lots of good recommendations. The location was wonderful, with great restaurants nearby and everything within walking distance, including the center, about 15 minutes to the Columbus monument, and the beach, 5 minutes away. A few things could be improved. The shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. For a week, there was only one and a half rolls of toilet paper, and we had to go looking for more. The air conditioning smelled terrible and needs cleaning, so we didn't want to use it. The stairs are steep and narrow, which could be a problem for older people.

We had a great time in the heart of Barcelona, in the old Barceloneta area. The narrow streets give the neighborhood a cozy feel, and getting here by taxi from the airport took about 25-35 minutes, depending on arrival time. You can easily get around on foot, with supermarkets, restaurants, bars, tapas spots, and THE BEACH all nearby. The apartment was very clean and had what we needed for a relaxed holiday: a fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV, and kitchen equipment. Check-in was smooth, and the pin code door opener meant we didn't have to carry keys. My favorite tip is to visit the roof terrace at the top of the building. The view over Barcelona and the beach is awesome. Bring a bottle of wine, bread, Catalan ham, cheese, olives, or whatever you like, then relax and watch the sunset. It's a great place to be. I'll be back!
